How Do They Work?

Solar photo-voltaic (PV) panels do not require direct sunlight, only natural daylight to generate electricity.

Our PV systems convert solar radiation into electricity - the photo-voltaic cell consists of two layers of a semi-conducting material, usually silicon. When light shines on the cell it creates an electric field across the layers, causing electricity to flow.
