Rising Energy Costs

Rising energy costs are currently the talk of many consumer news reports and Government discussions, and have been for some time. The increasing energy costs in the UK are anticipated to only continue increasing as the "Big 6" energy companies dominate the market.

In a recent report from Chris Huhne, Energy Secretary, he believes changes need to happen immediately in the UK for consumers to benefit from lower energy charges. Changing energy supplier is a must but to have a real effect alternative sources of energy, different to the depleting fossil fuels sources, need to be used. He stated:

"Moving to renewable energy, which is going to insure British consumers against the sort of world gas price increases that we've seen over the last year, that's the sensible course of action."
