With climate change effecting a variety of species and environments around the planet, wildlife charities within the UK are asking members of the public to keep on the look out for hedgehogs!

A hedgehog sighting survey is being established from 1st February to encourage members of the public to keep an eye out for hedgehogs in their area. The reductions in numbers of the species is suspected to be impacted by the milder seasons we are experiencing - encouraging the animals to in to hibernation later in the year or come out of hibernation earlier in the spring.
