Why invest in Solar?

Nearly all scientists agree that global temperatures will rise further. As a result, there are likely to be more intense and frequent extreme weather events (Directgov October 2011). In fact global temperatures have warmed by 0.75°C in the last century. This has been demonstrated in 2009 by being the worst floods the UK has seen for 270 years.

Electricity generation accounts for around 30% of all UK CO2 emissions. This needs to be reduced if we are to meet our commitment to reduce our CO2 emissions by 80%. Any improvements to the energy efficiency of our homes could result in a significant reduction in our national CO2 emissions.
