I’ve already got an Energy Performance Certificate for my house. Do I need to get a new one before I put it on the market?
No. Energy Performance Certificates are valid for ten years. But don’t forget that if you’ve made significant energy saving improvements – installing a new boiler for example – it will be worth getting a new certificate to tell potential buyers or renters about the improvements you’ve made.
